  i found this on an athiest discussion board.

  why jehovah does not prove his existence...

  because those who actually had the proof we atheists want no longer wanted him as god.

  since something exists now, it must follow logically that something has existed forever most scientists have agreed with the conclusion the univers had a beginning since something exists now, it must follow logically that something has existed forever and that something caused this universe (Law of causality) Sproul ?Logic requires that if something exists contingently, it must have a cause. That is merely to say, if it is an effect it must have an antecedent cause? (1994, p. 172) whether you wish to say it is some man in the sky I don't know, but lets break it down to it;s bear essentials God from the hebrew word EL means powerful one power is was needed to produce all that exists and is needed to sustain it. and since all that exists especially that which is evidenced on this earth works on a symbiotic relationship, a unified whole we can see how that power is unified or becomes "one" linguistically and logically therefore "powerfule one" is an appropriate description for that cause.   The Internet and Apostasy

  has the internet and forums like these caused an exodus from the j-dubs?

  when i left in the early 1990s i met support groups through the yellow pages but it still felt like i was the only one in the world who was an apostate.

  i've come to this forum in the last year to browse because my brother has now left.

  set aside Chrstianity, I would lean toward agnosticism rather than atheism

  even though I would defeninty side with christianity I would say the above quote is a balanced and fair side to open a discussion with

  so i thought i would put it in to practice.

  Thank you for invitig me. well to but it simply sin=missing the mark,( or informally put anything then will seperate us from God)so adam and eve brought imperfection to existence when they decided to disobey God

  so to answer "Did sin make him imperfect?"

  I would say his sin was deciding to eat the fruit that was clearly forbidden to him this his sin brought imperfection. to the rest of us

  i have read the topic "no trespassing..." and can't keep frm asking "are you afraid of dialogue?".

  i thought we were in america where we have freedom of speech, i have the freedom to approach my nieghbor oin conversation and he has the right to either continue the discussion or say "not interested" .

  this whole thing about wanting to erect signs seem to cut off the freedom of speech that america says it prides itelf on...what happened?

  I have questioned them many times, even though I grew up in a JW household here has been my influence growing up:

  Nation of Islam
  5% nation
  Rastafarianism

  and still I am a wll rounded JW today so I have Had much dialogue and continue to welcome it

  that in which you spoke of on the script part happened to me when I was younger so I will not deny the truth of it. but I am open to diologue of all kinds. to prove my point I use to hold conversations with a person that thought he was God (not he himself alone, its on some mystical belief system)

  thats not true I have responded to some and still intend to respond to others (I research and meditate on them, it takes time)II prticlarly though much about the "holy spirit" thread

  True ideed and I respect those signs believe me I do, but my point in starting the thread is that I see a trend of avoiding conversation with people. in other areas this can be true also such as If I go out right now and ask someone who are they going to vote for the response is they don't want to say, why? if I am proud of something I will speak it with pride.
